HoneyCage started with a problem on a loaded bikepacking rig and a 3D printer. It's still that simple.
"Tested and Proven design, They're solid."
Your bike says so much about you before you open your mouth. As a bike commuter and someone who loves bikepacking, I spend my days admiring or judging peoples' rigs.
Weather you're shaving grams on a carbon frame or balancing a case of beer on your rear paniers, every component that went on your rig was carefully selected for it's performance characteristic, reliability, but what about asthetics?
You color coordinate your bags, bar tape and tires to tie together nicely with the frame. Then the bottle cage looks like an afterthought? Black or chrome on your carefully curated rig. No More, HoneyCage lets you choose. It connects your gear to your bike intentionally. You care about the details and it shows.
Four things that drive every decision we make about the product.
HoneyCage started because we couldn't find a cage that worked the way we wanted on a loaded bikepacking rig. So we built one. Everything we make gets ridden before it ships.
Injection molding locks you into one color, one mount style, one geometry. 3D printing lets us build the right cage for your specific setup — and change it if your setup changes.
The hexagonal structure isn't branding. It's how we get maximum stiffness from minimum material. Bees figured this out a long time ago. We just applied it to bike storage.
A cage that fits every bike perfectly fits no bike perfectly. We design mount features for your specific attachment points so the cage performs the way it was designed to.
Every cage is made to order. Here's what that actually means.
Choose your cage, your mount style (Frame, Rack, or Custom), and your color. If you have a non-standard setup or a color we don't list, tell us — that's the whole point.
Mount features are built into the cage body itself — not bolted on as an adapter. Frame Mount and Rack Mount have different contact geometries, and we design each one to give you 3 points of contact and constrain movement in every direction.
Each cage is 3D printed in PETG right here in Colorado. No inventory, no warehouse, no mass production. Your cage is made when you order it.
We ride what we make. Every design gets tested on real terrain — gravel roads, chunky singletrack, loaded bikepacking rigs — before it goes out the door.
Pick your cage, your mount, your color. We'll handle the rest.
